A 34 year old Cambridge woman remains in serious but stable condition after a Cambridge altercation. On the 10th of November at 7:30 pm., Waterloo Regional Police were called to the Elgin Street area of Cambridge for a report of a female hit by a car. Police and Emergency Medical Services attended and quickly learned that this was a false report and that the woman had in fact been a victim of a violent domestic dispute. The woman was initially transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital, and later transferred to Hamilton McMaster Health Science Center for treatment of serious, but non-life threatening, facial and body injuries. A 35 year old Cambridge man was arrested at the scene and is being charged with Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Mischief, Forcible Confinement, Threatening and Public Mischief. The man was held pending a court hearing on the 11th of November.
