The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On July 22, 2013, the woman was released from custody with several conditions. One of those conditions stated that she was to reside at a specific address on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.
On July 28, 2013, officers conducted a ‘residential check’ to confirm that the woman was complying with her release conditions. At this time, officers learned that the woman had moved out on July 25, 2013. Attempts were made to locate the woman however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Yesterday morning, officers located the woman in Wallaceburg and she was arrested. The 19-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with failing to comply. She was transported to court pending a bail hearing.
