The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On September 6, 2013, the woman entered No Frills on Queen Street in Chatham and placed approximately $62.00 worth of grocery items in a bag. The woman left the store making no attempts to pay for the groceries. The woman was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. She was released pending a future court date.
On September 27, 2013 the woman attended 7-11 on Grand Avenue West in Chatham. At this time, she concealed a phone accessory valued at $13.00 in her purse and left the store making no attempt to pay for the item. The woman continued to Sears on King Street West in Chatham and placed a pair of shoes in a bag. The woman left the store making no attempts to pay for the merchandise valued at $18.00. The woman was arrested outside and the stolen merchandise was recovered. The woman was charged with theft under $5000 x2 and possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 x2. She was released with conditions pending a future court date.
On November 1, 2013, the woman failed to attend court and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Yesterday afternoon, police located the woman in Chatham and she was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
Nicole Ost, 41 years, of Adelaide Street North in Chatham was released pending a future court date.
