Shortly after 11:00 p.m. last night, police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the area of Grand Avenue East in Chatham. Officers located the woman who was intoxicated and unable to care for herself.
The 27-year-old Windsor woman was arrested for her own safety and transported to police headquarters. The woman will be held until sober and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
