Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses following a serious collision in the City of Vaughan.
On Saturday, August 20, 2016 at approximately 4 a.m., officers responded to the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 just west of Kipling Avenue. A 2001 Jaguar was travelling westbound on Highway 7 when for unknown reasons the driver lost control of the vehicle and went off the roadway and struck two light poles and several unattended vehicles in a parking lot.
The driver, a 22-year-old man from Markham, was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. His injuries have since been upgraded to non-life threatening.
The front passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Brampton, was transported to hospital with life -threatening injuries. The third occupant in the vehicle, a 19-year-old woman from Brampton was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
