(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On April 2, 2016 at 4:59 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver operating a black Lincoln Navigator southbound on Taylor Street, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. Police located and stopped the vehicle. Police found the driver had been drinking alcohol and was committing several other offences.
Richard Brian WISMER, age 33, of South Bruce Peninsula, has been charged with driving with an open container of alcohol, driving a motor vehicle with no licence, novice driver with a B.A.C above zero, G1 drive unaccompanied by a qualified driver, impaired operator of a motor vehicle, over 80 mgs and breaching of recognizance.
The accused was held for a bail hearing on April 3, 2016 and released on a recognizance. He is required to appear before the Owen Sound Court of Justice April 21, 2016 to answer to the charges.
