On 9 Jul Wingham Police were called to an open air fire on Frances St. The occupant of the residence was burning off some left over wood from a construction project. The fire was extinguished by the occupant who was issued a warning regarding the North Huon fire bylaw. Police and fire officials would like to remind residents of the risk of small fires spreading with the extremely dry conditions we have been experiencing.
