Election time is near. What lame excuses will the town fathers have to raise taxes and fees this coming year?
We all know the drill don’t we? Pick the one who tells the most convincing lies. It’s kind of like picking your poison isn’t it? Way too often our local politicians run for office to further their own private enterprises while making an insane amount of remuneration at our expense.
I would like to say that our town fathers are completely honest and fair, but we all know that not even Nolan Ryan could throw a bundle of cash past a politician.
I guess abusing power & trust isn’t unique to just our local politicians, hell, even the former police chief got caught with his fingers in the cookie jar, sorry – fuel tank.
My point is: always be wary of those in positions of power & trust, they don’t always have your best interests at heart.
Think about that the next time you head to the polls and make an informed decision before casting your ballot.
