(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was notified today (11May) that a 28-year-old driver from Wingham has died in hospital as a result of injuries he sustained in a single motor vehicle collision that took place last Friday.
At approximately 7:10 a.m. on May 6, 2016 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services and North Huron Fire Department personnel responded to the collision scene located on Harriston Road (County Road #87) just east of C Line Road.
West Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team (TTCI) members attended the scene and assisted with the collision investigation. The deceased was travelling eastbound on Harriston Road when he lost control of his vehicle exiting a curve in the roadway. His vehicle left the roadway, rolled and crashed into the south ditch.
He was transported to hospital by air ambulance where he received treatment for his injuries. The deceased, Jason SIMMONS, 28 years of age from Wingham died in hospital yesterday as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
