(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A traffic stop on Mill Street around lunch time resulted in a 64 year old losing his driving privileges for 90 days. At approximately 11:45 a.m. on May 10, 2013 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped the driver of a silver Dodge Caravan. Upon speaking with the driver the officer noted the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside test was completed and the driver registered a fail on the device. Officers arrested the driver and transported him to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two breath samples; both were above the legal limit.
William TURNER, 64, from Bluewater has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 17, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
