(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) A traffic stop late last night has resulted in two males facing possession for the purpose of trafficking charges. At 11:23 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a silver Dodge Ram pickup truck on Blyth Road west of Carlow
Police spoke with the occupants and were able to determine the driver of the vehicle was wanted by Huron County OPP for the offence of Criminal Harassment. He was subsequently arrested and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Officers located a backpack inside the truck that contained suspected marihuana, cocaine and methamphetamine.
As a result, both occupants are now facing criminal charges.
William BERRY (46) from Central Huron has been charged with Criminal Harassment contrary to section 264 (2) (b) Criminal Code, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Marihuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine all contrary to section 5 (2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 26, 2013 to answer to the charges.
A 32 year old male passenger, Fernando DEMELO is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Marihuana, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine, and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine all contrary to section 5 (2) Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on September 16, 2013 to answer to the charges.
