What If Firefighters Took Over North Huron? – North Huron Firefighters Stand Down & Stand Up For Rights And Respect

In order to send a strong message to council, virtually all of North Huron Fire Department have verbally resigned. The significance of this should not be underestimated, and is getting national attention.

Firefighters are pragmatic by nature, they don’t debate and hold committee meetings before they act, they see a problem and fix it. This fact was even used in a commercial in the olden times “What if Firefighters Ran The World”.

Anyone that is willing to sacrifice themselves for a stranger is a hero, end of story. Our Volunteer Firefighters run into burning buildings when we are running out and/or screaming for our lives. Their drive to serve and protect the Public overrides their personal self interest as they are willing to put their lives on the line to save us in times of crisis. Clearly Firefighters are worthy of high respect. If council will disrespect them it is absolute proof council does it to everyone, as council see themselves as superior to all other humans.

Now you must be asking yourself, why would these heroes resign? The truth is council made the fatal error of treating these heroes exactly the same way they treat the Public and Press. Fortunately our Firefighters recognize the value of Human Dignity and Respect and took a stand, not just for themselves, but for everyone in North Huron.

What are you going to do? Do you stand alongside our Firefighter heroes that are taking a stand for what is Right?
