Unfortunately there have been several missing person cases over the
last few years. WFP constantly reviews how we handle these
time sensitive cases, as minutes can make a difference. These
protocols are to be implemented in under 5 minutes of being notified
of a missing person. These protocols were put in place to make
sure that WFP uses all their available resources to notify the
public, within minutes of an event. If you are a local
webmaster, please feel free to use this as a guideline for the
creation of your own protocols.
