(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) On May 3, 2013 at approximately 1:18 am, County of Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers conducted a RIDE Program on Wellington County Road 39 near Wellington County Road 30 in Guelph-Eramosa Township. A 1997 Mazda pickup truck entered the RIDE Program and officers detected the odour of fresh marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. This resulted in the driver surrendering a quantity of suspected marihuana to police.
Darcie PYEFINCH of Fergus age 23 has been charged with Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on June 21, 2013 to answer to the charge.
