(COUNTY OF WELLINGTON, ON) On June 13th and 14th 2013, a pilot car seat awareness campaign was launched in Drayton and Rockwood by Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). In the 6 hour campaign, 51 car seats were corrected; and 1 Provincial Offence Notice was issued for a car seat violation because a child was not in a car seat. The most common error noted: The caregiver had the child’s 5 point harness too loose, which is extremely dangerous for the child.
