(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A weapons related call involving the pointing of a firearm at a gas station attendant is currently under investigation by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On Sunday, September 22, 2019 at approximately 9:15 a.m. Huron OPP officers responded to a call for assistance at a gas station located on Main Street North in Exeter.
Investigators have learned the driver of a Volkswagen Passat pulled up and parked in the fuel bay area near the store while a passenger in the vehicle entered the store and made a routine purchase. The passenger returned to the vehicle and moments later as the vehicle was departing the driver pulled out a handgun and pointed it in the direction of the store employee and a customer in the store.
The suspect vehicle then sped off last seen by witnesses travelling southbound on Highway 4. Officers completed extensive patrols for the suspect vehicle however it has not yet been located.
Investigators would like to identify the driver of the grey Volkswagen Passat involved in this incident. He is described as a being a white male, 5’8
