Wayne Cox – Drunk Driving

(KINCARDINE, ON.) – As of November 22, 2009, 271 people have died on OPP patrolled roadways; 42 of these deaths due to alcohol related collisions. This year’s Festive RIDE initiative runs from November 27, 2009 to January 2, 2010. As the Festive RIDE campaign enters its third week, the South Bruce OPP report 2 more impaired drivers charged.

32 year old Wayne Cox of Mildmay is facing a charge of Operate with Over 80 milligrams after being involved in a single vehicle collision in the ditch off the Brant-Carrick Line. The South Bruce OPP were called to the scene in the early morning hours of December 13, 2009 and quickly determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Cox is scheduled to appear in Provincial court on February 1, 2010 to answer to the charge.
