Warrants

Date: Sunday, August 10, 2014 – 2:00pm
On the 10th of August 2014 at approximately 2pm, Barrie Police while on routine patrol observed two males carrying open liquor in the rear of a business on Anne Street. Police attended over in regards to investigating the males for the liquor offences.

During the investigation, one male became nervous and was evasive in answering questions with the investigating officer. The male gave a false name and date of birth which was quickly revealed by the investigating officer. The officer was able to obtain the true identity of the male and determined the reason he was lying was because he was wanted on outstanding warrants for possession of marihuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to appear for court.

The 40 year old Barrie male was subsequently arrested and held pending a bail hearing.
