On the 6th of April 2014, Durham Regional Police arrested a male and female regarding a theft investigation. Upon completion of the investigation it was determined that the female was not involved and Durham Police were looking at releasing her unconditionally with no charges. Prior to her being released officers discovered that the female was wanted in Barrie on numerous warrants. Barrie Police were contacted and returned the female to Barrie to deal with the outstanding warrants.
The 24 year old female was returned and will now face the following charges:
1. Communicate for the purpose of prositution
2. Fraud
3.Possession of property obtained by crime
4. Failing to comply with probation.
5. Fail to appear court.
The female will be held pending a bail hearing.
