Good afternoon, I am writing more to vent, as I know this site will probably get it out to the people before our council will.
I was driving through Lucknow the other day, and was admiring their poppy lined main road. It was really lovely, to see that kind of respect being paid. It got me thinking, because earlier in the week I had noticed that Wingham could not wait to get their Christmas decorations up. It has long been a show of respect to keep those decorations away until after Remembrance Day. The decorations are gaudy and half lit, and frankly are becoming a sight for sore eyes. So as our beloved veterans will get to see that on their one special day of the year. If I sound like I am making a big deal, I am , because it is a big deal. These men and women gave everything for us, and our educated idiots running this town couldn’t even take the time to wait for their day to come and go. It is time that we start setting our priorities straight, and showing respect for the men and women who were willing to die for our freedom takes priority over over getting our towns Christmas lights up on schedule.
