(BRANT TWP, ON) – On September 7, 2017 at 1:13 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 1100 block of Bruce County Road 4 in Brant Township. Officers arrived to find an assault had taken place.
Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP West Region Canine Unit assisted the South Bruce OPP in a search for the man who was located and arrested without incident. Investigators found he was also wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
A 24-year-old Brant Township man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, 2 counts of sexual assault, 6 counts of breaching probation and 4 counts for fail to comply with recognizance. He was held in custody pending the results of a show cause hearing scheduled for September 8, 2017.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
