(SOUTHWEST MIDDLESEX, ON) – On December 6, 2017, at approximately 4:30 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Break, Enter and Robbery at a rural property.
The investigation thus far, has revealed that a male party attended a residence on Oil Field Drive in the Municipality of Southwest Middlesex. The suspect knocked on the door, spoke to the occupants and departed. After a brief moment, the suspect returned to the home, this time wearing a disguise and assaulted the two adult occupants using a weapon.
The suspect demanded money from the victims during the robbery. The victim’s vehicle was also stolen.
The victims, a 67-year-old male and 79-year-old male attended hospital and are receiving treatment for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The stolen vehicle is described as a white, 2013, Volkswagen Jetta, bearing Ontario marker of BEJV065.
The suspect is described as white, 25-30 years of age, approximately 5’8 tall and unkempt beard.
Members of the public are asked to contact police immediately if the vehicle is observed. Do not approach the vehicle or persons within it. Residents are reminded to immediately report suspicious vehicles and persons to police by calling 9-1-1.
