Video Of Violent Robbery Released – Can You ID The Suspects?

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is investigating a violent robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance to identify the vehicle and suspects.

On August 16, 2013, at approximately 7:05am, in the 1600 block of Fisher Avenue, a man exited his residence and was accosted by two suspects who were waiting nearby. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The two suspects arrived nearby a short time earlier, in a white car, and appeared to have waited for the male victim to exit his residence. The victim was assaulted and robbed of an iPhone and cash. The victim was treated and transported to a hospital by Ottawa Paramedic Service with serious injuries. This incident is not believed to have been a random event.

The Robbery Unit is releasing surveillance video of the vehicle and two male suspects with the belief that someone may have information about the vehicle and/or suspects and will contact Police or Crime Stoppers
