On Sunday 22 May 2016 police were advised of a domestic assault that has been ongoing throughout the Municipality of West Grey and other locations within Ontario. The investigation determined that the victim suffered at different times, severe injuries and caused the victim to attend different hospitals throughout South Western Ontario.
The accused, Jeremy Hogg, was charged with numerous offences: Domestic Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Utter Death Threats, Weapons Dangerous, Breach of Recognizance x3, Breach of Probation x2, Possess Prohibited Weapon, Take Auto without Consent and Escape Lawful Custody. Hogg was held for a bail hearing.
