(Ottawa) In the early evening hours of December 9th, 2014, a male victim was walking in the area of Somerset St just west of Bank St, when he was randomly attacked and assaulted.
The 53 year old victim suffered severe facial and head injuries and was transported to the Hospital. The suspect male who used a hammer in the attack left the area on foot. He was also carrying a large kitchen knife in plastic package. He is described as a white male, approximately 6’2†(188cm), 240 lbs, scruffy, wearing a dark jacket and dark toque. Also carrying a bag.
Central District Investigators are currently handling the investigation.
