Vehicles Destroyed By Fire

On the 25th day of March 2015 at 1:09 am a uniformed officer on general patrol, located an active fire in the area of 220 Bayview Drive., City of Barrie.

The officer located two motor vehicles that had been deliberately set afire, along with damage to additional motor vehicles and business store fronts with damage to their glass windows and doors

It appears as though these businesses were the scene of mischief and that no entry had been gained.

The Barrie Fire Department attended the scene and extinguished the fires.

The Identification Unit of the Barrie Police Service attended and conducted an expert examination of the scene. Evidence has been collected on scene and ident will be re- attending in the daylight hours to continue the forensic examination.

Damaged Property:

Two motor vehicles were completely burned (pick up truck & SUV)

Two transport trailers suffered damage from the fire.

Three businesses suffered damage to glass doors & windows.

Additional motor vehicles had their windows smashed out.

Estimated damage value = $ 100,000.00

No motive has yet been identified for this senseless act.
