On June 17th, 2015 at approximately 11:30am, a 34 year old male Kitchener resident was arrested after he was observed driving a stolen motor vehicle. Police approached when the driver exited the vehicle and an officer was assaulted. The driver attempted to flee on foot and received an injury to his foot during the arrest. The officer was not injured. The male was transported to a hospital for examination and held for a bail hearing for Possession of Stolen property, Breaching Court Orders and Possession of Controlled Substances.
