Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are releasing details of a suspect vehicle sought in a fatal fail-to-remain collision in the City of Vaughan and are seeking public assistance to identify its whereabouts.
On Monday, August 8, 2016, at approximately 11:25 p.m., a fail-to-remain collision occurred in the area of Highway 7 and Keele Street. The victim 35-year-old Adam COLUCCI from Woodbridge was found severely injured and succumbed to his injuries. Police believe the he was struck by a vehicle that failed to stop at the collision scene.
Investigators have identified the suspect vehicle and are seeking public assistance for information on its whereabouts. Police have reason to believe that the vehicle may have been abandoned somewhere between the City of Toronto and the City of Hamilton or may have been hidden indoors, away from public view. Investigators are also encouraging the driver of the vehicle that struck Mr. COLUCCI to seek legal counsel and turn yourself in.
