On August 26, 2014 at 1:20 a.m., the Guelph Police were notified by an off-duty Police Sergeant of suspicious activity at a Clair Road West building construction site.
On arrival, a vehicle with three occupants fled the scene, almost striking a marked police vehicle.
The suspect vehicle was located abandoned a short distance away and one male was taken into custody. A ground search and track by the Guelph Police Service K9 unit, led to the arrest of a second male and a female.
The property stolen from the construction site was recovered in the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.
A 49 year old Kitchener male has been charged with theft over $5000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police, break enter and commit and possession of break and enter instruments.
A 47 year old Cambridge male has been charged with theft over $5000, break enter and commit, possession of break and enter instruments, trespass by night, breach recognizance, carry concealed weapon and possession CDSA.
A 47 year old Waterloo female has been charged with theft over $5000, break enter and commit, possession of break and enter instruments and possession CDSA.
All three have been held in custody and will appear for a bail hearing on August 26, 2014.
