On September 2, 2014, at 5:12 p.m., the Guelph Police went to Eastview Road and Victoria Road for the report of a cyclist/vehicle collision. It is alleged that a 66-year-old Guelph man was riding his bicycle southbound on the east sidewalk of Victoria Road. At the intersection of Eastview Road the cyclist continued southbound, riding through the pedestrian crossover. Concurrently, a motor vehicle was travelling westbound on Eastview Road and began to turn right onto Victoria but stopped mid turn when the collision occurred.
This event resulted in minimal injury to the cyclist. There was a language barrier, making communication between parties at the scene not possible.
