(HURON TWP, ON) – On September 27th, 2011 at 12:52 pm, the South Bruce OPP received a report of a single vehicle crash along the Huron-Ashfield Line, Huron Township. Officers arrived to find that a Silver Pontiac Vibe had collided with a hydro pole. The driver was stopping to deal with a bee in the vehicle, but the vehicle entered the ditch and collided with the pole. There were no injuries reported from the crash. The South Bruce OPP wants motorists to recognize the potential danger a distraction represents while they’re driving. A driver that chooses to text message while driving is a significant threat to public safety on the roads. Keep your hands on the wheel, eyes on the road and arrive safely at your destination.
