Vandalism At Road Construction Site Risks Lives

(CARRICK TWP, ON) – On July 6, 2015 at 7:41 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of vehicle damage at a road construction site along Bruce County Road 6, between Bruce County Road 12 and Bruce County Road 28, in Carrick Township. Sometime between 3:00 p.m. on July 3, 2015 and 7:30 a.m. on July 6, 2015 an exhaust pipe was cut off a Yellow International 20S water truck. In addition, the roads crew reports signage trailers are being flipped over and detour signs are being turned around so motorists have no warning the road is under construction. There is no estimate on repairs to the water truck at this time.

The South Bruce OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or send a web-tip to crimestop-gb.org, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
