Freezing rain warning in effect for:
Goderich – Bluewater – Southern Huron County
Listowel – Milverton – Northern Perth County
Stratford – Mitchell – Southern Perth County
Wingham – Blyth – Northern Huron County
A period of freezing rain is expected this morning, followed by rain.
There are reports of slippery sidewalks around Toronto and multiple reports of accidents due to icy roads.
A warm front arriving over the regions Monday morning will sweep from west to east and cause freezing rain. Freezing rain will transition to rain as temperatures rise rapidly during the mid morning or late morning.
General rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 mm are expected. The rain will end by evening.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.
