On September 16, 2014 at 4:10 p.m., a 13 year old male youth was walking home from Jean Little School and was approached by a lone male in a car. The youth was walking towards Scottsdale Drive at the time of the incident. The vehicle pulled up beside the youth and the driver asked the boy to come to his car. The driver then asked the youth if he wanted to try some drugs. The youth refused and the driver told him to get in the car. The youth fled the area towards a complex on Scottsdale Drive.
Through investigation, members of the Guelph Police Service have located and spoken with the driver of the involved vehicle in this matter.
The investigation has been concluded with the responsible individual identified satisfactorily. No charges are being laid in the matter.
