Police have recently received two reports from the community of a white van following people in Kitchener and Cambridge. Through investigation and with the assistance of the public, police have located a van and driver matching the description of those involved in these occurrences. An investigation into the reasons and intentions of the driver were conducted. Police have determined the drivers actions were not of a suspicious nature and deemed the incidents as not suspicious. Police remind the public to remain vigilant about their surroundings and to continue reporting any incidents that cause them concern or that they consider suspicious. On Apr 30 2015 an unidentified male followed two young females as they walked to school in the Elmridge Dr area of Kitchener. The females are 9 and 11 years of age. The male was driving a white commercial style van with sliding side doors and two rear doors. The van did not display any writing or advertising. The male was described as a white, in his 60s or 70s with a long white beard and white hair and wearing a black or navy baseball style hat. The male did not speak to the girls. Police are requesting that people in the area be diligent and report any suspicious activity.
