Update: Two suspects charged for the Beachwood Avenue robbery

(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has charged two persons in relation to this investigation.

Following the release of the images on August 26, 2015, two young persons were identified in relation to this investigation. On August 29th, police contacted the first suspect, a 17 year old male of Ottawa who presented himself to the Police. The second suspect, also a 17 year old male of Ottawa, turned himself in to Police on September 2nd after being contacted by the investigators.

Both suspects are charged with single counts of robbery. The second suspect is also charged with a single count of wearing a disguise.

Suspect #1 appears in Youth Court on September 15th, and suspect #2 will appear in Youth Court on October 13th, 2015.

The Robbery Unit thanks the media and those that assisted in disseminating the images in helping bring this investigation to a successful conclusion.
