(South Perth, ON) John WARD (48) of Waterloo has been identified as the victim in yesterday’s fatal collision south of Stratford. John WARD had been travelling west on Perth Line 29 when he failed to stop for a stop sign at Perth Road 113. His vehicle entered the intersection and was struck by a southbound tractor trailer on Perth Road 113. The driver of the transport did not suffer any injuries in the collision.
The intersection was re-opened at approximately 9:00 pm after OPP Technical Collision Investigators were finished gathering evidence. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
