Update to Fatal Collision

The London Police Service is continuing the investigate the circumstances that led to a fatal collision early this morning. The intersection and streets surrounding Dundas Street at Highbury Ave will remain closed for several hours as the reconstruction continues.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a car travelling southbound on Highbury Ave at a high rate of speed collided with the driver’s side of a car travelling eastbound on Dundas Street within the intersection. Two of the four occupants of the car travelling east were pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver and third passenger remain in the hospital at this time.

The driver of the car travelling southbound on Highbury Ave was alone in his vehicle at the time of the collision. He also remains in the hospital at this time.

Police are still asking anyone who may have witnessed anything in relation to the collision to contact 519 661 5680 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222 TIPS.

Further updates will be released when available including the identities of the deceased as well as additional details related to the cause of the collision when they are confirmed.
