Update to Domestic Investigation in Blenheim

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic disturbance.

As previously reported, on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at approximately 8:00 p.m., police responded to a residence in Blenheim in regards to a dispute. Upon arrival, a woman reported to police that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Through investigation, the woman disclosed previous incidents of domestic violence. The man fled the residence and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Yesterday morning, the 28-year-old Blenheim man turned himself in to police headquarters. He has been charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, uttering threats x2 and mischief under $5000 x3. He was transported to the courthouse pending a bail hearing.
