(GUELPH-ERAMSA TWP, ON) – On Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at approximately 10:13 am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a call regarding a house fire located at #8033 Side Road 10, Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Wellington County OPP attended the scene along with Fire Departments from the City of Guelph, Guelph-Eramosa Township and Centre Wellington Township. The house is described as a single family, detached home located in a country setting on the south side of Guelph Lake.
An Investigator from the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office attended the scene and conducted an investigation. Based on evidence found the fire has been deemed suspicious and is now a criminal investigation.
The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit is assisting the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office with this investigation, which is still ongoing at this time. Updated information will be released as it becomes available.
