Update: Single Vehicle Crash – Driver Deceased

(TOWNSHIP OF ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – As a result of injuries sustained, the male driver, Andrew BLEWETT, 29, of Guelph, has succumb to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital on July 1st, 2012.

SINGLE VEHICLE ROLLOVER

(TOWNSHIP OF ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) – On July 1st, 2012 at 5:30a.m., members of the South Bruce OPP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Bruce Road 3, between Bruce Road 40 and the Elderslie-Arran Line, Township of Arran-Elderslie.

The motor vehicle, traveling Northbound on Bruce Road 3, for unknown reasons lost control and left the roadway. The vehicle rolled and laid to rest in the East ditch.

Both vehicle occupants were injured and transported to hospital for treatment. The male driver, 30, of Guelph, was transported to London Health Sciences hospital by air ambulance for life-threatening injuries. The female passenger, 22, of Guelph, was transported to the Grey-Bruce Health Services – Southampton site for non-life threatening, major injuries.

The roadway is now open.
