As previously reported, shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Friday morning, a woman from Lansdowne Avenue in Chatham thought she heard someone throwing rocks at her front window. As she checked her window, she observed bullet holes in her door instead. There were two adults and one small child in the residence at the time of the incident but no one was injured. The damage to the door has been estimated at about $1000.
The incident was investigated by the Chatham-Kent police Major Crime Unit. On Saturday, a 49-year-old Chatham man was arrested for multiple firearms offences. He remains in police custody pending a bail hearing.
