(Innisfil, ON) On Friday, May 30, 2014, South Simcoe Police were called to 7 Recreation Drive in the Sandy Cove Acres neighbourhood of Innisfil. When officers arrived on scene, they found an 81 year old woman suffering from fatal injuries. A 54 year old Innisfil man located at the scene was arrested and later charged with Murder.
On Tuesday, June 7, 2016, Richard William DOWDELL pled guilty to Second Degree Murder in the death of Yvonne Brooks. Sentencing is set for June 30 in Barrie.
