UPDATE: Police Assisting Office of the Chief Coroner with Death Investigation Of Young Child

(PERTH COUNTY, ON) – On December 17, 2017 at approximately 6:30 a.m., the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate the sudden death of a child under the age of five years in the Township of Perth South.

Members of the Perth County OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of Detective Inspector Pete Liptrott of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch are assisting the Office of the Chief Coroner with the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing, and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled at a time and place to be determined.
