Update on 2 Vehicle Crash South Of Stratford

UPDATE ON 2 VEHICLE CRASH SOUTH OF STRATFORD 2012-09-18

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) As a result of the Perth County OPP investigation into yesterdays two vehicle crash at the intersection of Perth Road 112 and Line 29 at 3 p.m., the following determinations were made.

A gray Pontiac was driven north bound on Perth Road 112 by a 21 year old male from Tavistock. The Pontiac turned west bound onto Line 29 directly in front of a gray Chrysler Neon which was driving south bound on Perth Road 112. The Chrysler was operated by a 28 year old male who had a 26 year old male passenger, both males being Stratford residents.

The vehicles collided and came to rest south west of the intersection. The impact resulted in all three occupants sustaining serious injuries. The passenger of the Chrysler required extrication from the vehicle by the Perth East Fire Dept. The three occupants were transported to Stratford General Hospital with the passenger of the Chrysler later being transported to London Health Sciences.

The investigation into this crash resulted in the closure of the roads until 10 p.m. The police investigation is continuing.
