UPDATE: Graffiti at University of Guelph

On July 28, 2015 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Guelph Police were called to the University of Guelph by the Community Campus Police. Staff at the university observed a male damaging property in the area of War Memorial Hall and then fleeing the area. Damage has been estimated at approximately $2000.

On July 30, 2015 at 11:50 p.m., a male attended to the Guelph Police Service headquarters and turned himself in. Rajinder Bali, a 40 year old Toronto man, has been charged with mischief under $5000. He has a September 22, 2015 court date.

The Guelph Police had posted a picture of a male on their website who was in the immediate area at the time of the graffiti. The community assisted the police in their investigation by identifying this male and a further investigation led to a charge being laid.
