Update: Driver Killed In 2 Vehicle Crash

– Road has re opened to traffic –

(HURON TWP, ON) – On November 22nd, 2011 at 4:26 pm, the South Bruce OPP was called to a 2 vehicle crash on Lake Range Road in Huron Township. Officers attended the scene with Bruce County Paramedics and the Municipality of Kincardine Fire Department.

A Grey Ford Focus travelling north bound on Lake Range Road, turned left onto Kennedy Road into the path of a Green Chevrolet GM4 that was travelling south bound on Lake Range Road.

Both drivers were transported to the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Kincardine; where the driver of the Ford Focus, 18 year old Jessica Pool of Huron Township was pronounced dead.

Members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit are assisting with this investigation. Lake Range Road was closed for the safety of the emergency responders.

Lake Range Road has since reopened to traffic. The investigation into the crash is continuing. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
