SERIOUS CRASH SENDS TWO TO HOSPITAL
Envoy Driver Charged
(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an 18 year old female driver with an offence under the Highway Traffic Act in relation to a motorcycle and sports utility vehicle collision Sunday, May 19, 2013. Officers have determined the driver of a grey GMC Envoy made a left turn not in safety. A Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling southbound on Bluewater Highway was unable to avoid the GMC Envoy that was attempting to make a left turn from the highway onto Turnbull’s Grove Road South.
The driver of the motorcycle, Wayne MERCER, 56, from Toronto and his passenger Darlene MCCONNELL, 55, also from Toronto remain in hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the GMC Envoy, Deanna TIDGWELL, 18, from London has been charged with Turn – Not in Safety. She has a court appearance scheduled at Provincial Offences Court – Goderich on July 23, 2013.
