Update: Burned Out Vehicle – Deceased Identified

(ALBEMARLE TWP, ON) – The Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police are in the early stages of a death investigation.

At 10:47 am on September 17, 2012, the Bruce Peninsula OPP received a report of a burned out vehicle on Birch Street in Albemarle Township. Officers attended and discovered human remains in a Black 2011 Hyundai Accent.

The deceased has been identified as 60 year old Robert WHITE from South Bruce Peninsula. This is an isolated incident; there are no concerns for public safety.

Foul play is not suspected.

The Bruce Peninsula OPP is requesting anyone with information that can assist police to call 1-888-310-1122.
