Update: Barricaded Male Apprehended Without Incident

  (KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On October 21, 2012 at 9:01 am, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a Whitechurch Street residence in the village of Whitechurch, Huron-Kinloss Township. Officers responded to the scene and were confronted by a male brandishing a weapon who then barricaded himself in an outbuilding on the property.

  West Region OPP Emergency Response resources attended the scene to assist the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.

  At 4:31 pm, the male was apprehended, without incident, by members of the West Region OPP Tactical Rescue (TRU) unit.

  Whitechurch Street is open again for vehicle traffic.

  The investigation is continuing.
